No opener, no big stage design…

Ryan Beatty and his band walked into the spotlight around 8pm and went straight to his seat after waving to fans, smiling. They played acoustic versions of his latest Calico and a bit of Dreaming of David and his debut, Boy in Jeans.

While an extreme set design is always loved, Beatty’s way of having the audience focus on the music was amazing. Nowadays, it is so rare to have a show be stripped as such. It left everyone mesmorized.
