Interview with Kevian Kraemer.

Interviewed by Sarah Evangelista

Supported by million of views and a few hundred thousand followers, Kevian Kraemer is the boy next door of music (and our Artist of the Week). I had the pleasure of talking with him over email.

What is your fondest musical memory?

My favorite musical memory as of now is going on tour with Landon Conrath from Boston down to Washington DC. It was a blast traveling with the band and being able to preform for so many people in different cities.

You discovered how to make a living off of music during your high school sophomore year. Did you find yourself struggling to keep up with school while having this dream?

I definitely find it harder and harder to juggle the two as time progresses but with a little bit less of a sleep schedule I’m able to make it work!

What events lead you to discovering your powerful singing voice?

I’ve always been singing for as long as I can remember. My sister is the best singer I know and has always inspired me to progress vocally.

Releasing a debut EP is a huge deal in an artist's career. Were there any nerves leading towards the release of Seventeen?

Not really many nerves but definitely a ton of excitement. Seventeen is a culmination so many different experiences over my 2 and a half years pursuing music full time. The response has been incredible and I couldn’t be more grateful for everybody who loves the project

A constant throughout all the ups and downs of being a teenager is an acoustic guitar in this project. Was it your first instrument ever played?

I actually was a drummer before playing the guitar! I studied drums for about 4 years before picking up ab acoustic guitar and falling in love with the whole thing.

I heard you're a huge fan of Drake! What is your favourite album from him?

Hahaha Views for sure has to be his best album and nobody can tell me any different

What are some things you'd like to accomplish as an artist this year?

I’m so stoked to keep on developing my sound and trying to get bigger shows in the books. My main focus is to continue growing my artistry, staying true to my image, and having a great time as things ramp up!!!

Who are your favourite artists at the moment?

Some of my top artists definitely have to be The Backseat Lovers, Claire Rosinkranz, DWLLRS, and Tyler The Creator
