Ziggy D’Amato Releases New EP and Single “Maya Blue”.

Ziggy D'Amato's latest release, 'Maya Blue' the EP, has arrived with much anticipation and does not disappoint. This 5-track EP showcases the brilliant depth of Ziggy's talent as a solo artist, with him writing all the songs, playing all the instruments, self-recording, producing, and mixing the entire album.

Ziggy's style is a unique blend of indie-rock and pop, and his earworm melodies and thick layers of vocal harmonies are utterly infectious. The EP's title track, 'Maya Blue', is a prime example of Ziggy's tight indie-pop-rock style at its best. The song's vibrant and intertwining choppy guitar lines, tight drums and bass, and Ziggy's vocal delivery result in a shimmering and summery indie-pop soundscape that bounces buoyantly. Ziggy also showcases his skillful guitar work in the track's instrumental section, layering vocal harmonies under a soaring, crunching solo.

Ziggy explains that 'Maya Blue' is “a tale of falling in love in the winter of 2020, the excitement and joy of crushing hard, the heartbreak of it going unrequited, and the gratitude of being a small part of the eternal human love story.” The other four tracks on the EP also explore different aspects of love, including the pain of unrequited love, the closure of old love, and the celebration of the entire process.

Ziggy's restless and multi-talented creativity is apparent throughout the EP, and his 70s musicality and representation of fresh and breezy soundscapes make it an upbeat and joyful listen.
