PLANET Talks New Album ‘Information Overload’.
Written and Interviewed by: Sarah Evangelista
Aussie indie-rock quartet are continuing the year off right by releasing their new album Information Overload. The album, following the title track, both describe the feeling of being overloaded, in the best way possible.
We got to chat with PLANET, about their project and more.
To start off, what was the first thing you listened to today?
3hrs of hold music for Qatar Airways…
The album is called Information Overload, paired with the title track. Which one came first?
The track name came first, but the song was originally called ‘I Need A Friend’. We thought that ‘Information Overload’ would be cooler as the track name though.
Was Information Overload always the main idea for the album name?
Our ending track ‘One To Keep You’ was a strong contender as the album name - we ended up going for ‘Information Overload’ because it rang more true to what the album was all about.
You’re also going on tour in the UK and Ireland soon! How excited are you?
We are all so excited - it's been 3 years of postponing and rescheduling but finally we are off in 6 weeks from today!
Who are your favourite artists at the moment?
Haven't really been keeping up currently but I’m liking that new Wolf Alice album a bunch!
