If you're looking for a new artist to follow and love, then look no further. Rapper by the name of Jared Lee, better known by his stage name Duckwrth, has been climbing up the charts and taking the music industry by storm.
The 32-year-old rapper born and raised in South Los Angeles, is no stranger to the music industry. He grew up listening to music constantly and around mid 2010 launched his career. His first album Nowhere was a split album released on August 21 of 2015, but shortly after, he released his debut album I’M UUGLY and gained a huge fan base.
He has also gone on tour and performed alongside some big names such as Cardi B, Travis Scott, G-Eazy, Lizzo, Billie Eilish and more. His latest album SuperGood just released on August 21, and when asked to describe how his sound has changed from his earlier albums to his latest he said
“A lot of my younger albums, they were me experimenting and trying to just experiment with different sounds and vocal ranges and just figuring out what I like the most and also just releasing a single that people respond to the most. I’ve more so realized what I liked the most and what people like the most, what vocal range I like the most, what productions, what chord arrangements I like, and I think it’s just more so just a natural growth as an artist” and went on to add “Nowhere was very much like a launching pad, but I love that album!... I wouldn’t be able to be at where I am now without Nowhere.”
From his positive personality to his creative and catchy tunes, Duckwrth brings so much to the music industry and we are excited to see him and his career grow even more.
