AURORA Plays History in Toronto.

Last Sunday, the music enthusiast blog was invited to watch the sold out show for AURORA here in Toronto. AURORA performed in Toronto's brand new venue HISTORY. Fans of all ages lined up as early as 10 am just to get  close to the Norwegian singer and when asked after the show how their experience was, every fan expressed the euphoric and bliss they felt when seeing Aurora. 

AURORA's tour focuses on her most recent album the Gods we can touch, while waiting in line music enthusiast blog asked fans what they thought about the album and expressed their love for project as the album focus on the Greek Gods paired with the synths 80s sounds and stating cure for me as one the break out songs from the album.

The show started off with the tour opener Sub Urban, a new artist emerging from the tik tok music scene, with the notable song cradle which was released in 2019 and his song “UH OH” featuring BENEE, but within the show also emphasized his collabs with Tik Tok star Bella Poarch stating his collaboration and producing credits then playing their hit song INFERNO. Sub urban ragged doll around the stage giving more emphasis on the circus aesthetic on his debut album HIVE releasing on June 3rd. Nonetheless, Suburban hype up Toronto with every song off his setlist and followed up on instagram saying it was his favorite show in Toronto. 

Aurora step on stage with the first song forbidden fruits of eden as an intro showing her melodic vocals as the red backdrop flashes behind her setting the theme of the album then moving foreword to the second song off the setlist “Heathens” playing Tribal drums paired up with the angelic voice of Aurora. The power anthem Blood in wine brought the warrior battle cry out of Aurora with her powerful vocals showing the range she has as an artist .The stage lit up blue and white as the infamous song “Runaway” started playing, everyone singing along to the lyrics, swaying back and forth of passion. Throughout the show Aurora talked in between songs saying how complex we are as human beings and saying “Were human beings and if anything we are like brothers and sisters with one another, why don't we help one another”  likewise a fan was passing out by the barricade and aurora with no hesitation stopped performing to help the fan out showing the kindness and passion she has for her fans and musicianship. 

Overall the Aurora concert was one of the must see shows in Toronto, both Sub urban and Aurora put out an amazing concert. The show was one that people of all ages would enjoy with having a set list full of internet sensations and deepcut power anthems that gets you moving.
